Nice guy in a douche disguise?

So, on the weekend I had a bbq with some friends and after a night of drinking and fun, we finally got some down time. As I was talking with a guy friend who was recently married, the topic of guys came up. He said that guys need to be douche bags to get girls, because girls like douche bags. Now, being a girl, I wonder, SERIOUSLY?! Is that what guys think? Nice guys finish last?

Now, here is my opinion. I don't feel like guys are after the right girls. They want super skinny, perky, shapely and in some cases, wealthy females. Alot of guys want to woman who can support them. But then I ask myself, 'Don't guys know that we have standards too?'. Most girls aren't going to look for a guy who only wants her for her body and they sure as hell don't want to be with someone they have to support! I think in order to find someone you have to be picture perfect. This could very well be, because guys feel the need to be douchy and shallow. Therefore, everyone loses. The douchy guys can't find decent girls and girls with high standards can't find guys who aren't jerks. I am really confusing myself and possibly you guys too.

So, the question still remains, Do guys need to be douches to find girls out there? Do nice guys really finish last?

Hand-in-the-face Customer

Seriously,

Ok, so today a customer yelled at my co-worker because we closed at our normal time and she didn't get a product she wanted. This was an honest- to- goodness 'seriously?!' moment. Sometimes I wonder what goes through peoples heads. Like, do you leave your house for a the grocery store when you know it's closing in 5 minutes? No! Logic would tell you that you should have either gone earlier or wait and go tomorrow. People are so stupid with their brains, or lack thereof. On top of that, if you arent sure what time the store closes but you decide to chance it, what makes you think that you have the right to be completely disrespectful to the a person who has no control over what time the store closes. On top of that, she threw her hand in my co-workers face as if to say 'stop making your excuses'. Ok, for the record, if someone ever did that to me, that person would not only be handless but also would all have an earful of reasons why you never do that to a working class person, or anyone! I wondering if people realize how they come across, or maybe they don't care how they come across. It's just like, do you like being classified as a jerk? And if so, why? What are you getting from that? A handful of people who are scared of you, maybe? Being in the customer service industy, you do get alot of mouthy, inconsiderate, rude and obnoxious people. All I have to say to this is, SERIOUSLY?!?!?
